The book of days

#0 in the beginning

So this crept up on me a bit, and in the midst of a busy day I didn't have loads of time to give to the first day of this exercise. This is a bit of a preamble to say sorry that my first entry is a bit lame - tis kind of a tenuous link. anyway, I see this as more of a tool to create some good stories to tell, so here's the first one.

Most days I walk or cycle across Jesus Green on the way to work. It's a really beautiful place, with rows of wonderful trees that must have been planted hundreds of years ago. I got the bus to work today because I have a puncture, and I always have the choice of getting off the bus on Chesterton Road, and walking back over the bridge and across the park, or getting off on Bridge Street and walking the slightly shorter distance down the road. Being a lazy(ish) sort, I tend to opt for the latter (also, because as my friend Lucie says - no decision is a decision), but today I chose to take the plunge, push the button and enjoy the walk. This house is "in the beginning" of Portugal Street, and I think it's very beautiful. I'd like to live in a house that's covered in roses I think.

So what's it all about?
